Description

Caldwell Ballistic Precision Chronograph Premium Kit Contains everything you need to capture reliable velocity data in one convenient kit. Includes Chronograph, IR LED Light Kit, Tripod and Custom Carry Case that conveniently holds all items. The Caldwell Ballistic Precision Chronograph Premium Kit provides accurate velocity measurements across a wide range of shooting conditions. Higher accuracy was achieved by using a high speed 48 MHz processor and by designing a circuit with an advanced data interface that allows each unit to be computer calibrated at the factory after assembly. The end result is the ability to provide much better accuracy than other chronographs on the market (+/- .25%). Although technologically advanced, the unit is designed to be simple to operate, displaying velocity in Feet per second or Meters per second on the large built in LCD screen. I know about statistics and how to “control” a process. . . and humbly leave the chrono details to you.

But if you reload, want to shoot precision long range, or shoot competitively — a chronograph can be critical. Having used it for the past 4 years, I've come to love this chrono after having owned several other models not featured here. To be honest, I've never tried a MagnetoSpeed. While I have looked at them, I never liked the fact that you have to attach something directly to the barrel. If you're like me and shoot a lot of rounds, particularly during load development, I would think you could start melting things to the barrel... but not on my rifles! Plus how does a magnetic sensor work for a pistol? Others work on a similar method, but a different form. Instead of light small electromagnetic sensors are set along a line. It records the velocity, SD, and ES of every projectile you fire from your gun. Since it is factory calibrated, its accuracy could reach up to 99.75%. Because it is a large bayonet that straps onto your barrel — this can shift your point of impact while it is attached. It can also mess with your rifle harmonics and open or close your groups oddly. MagnetoSpeed V3Place Chronograph on stable surface at the appropriate height for firing projectile through the shooting window. The Chronograph may be mounted on top of a Tripod using the ¼-20 threaded insert. Infrared (IR) LEDs provide the highest level of performance with the Chronograph sensors, IR light is not visible to the human eye so one visible red LED is included in each light strip for easy visual confirmation that the light kit is on and working.

this is what people say about Labradar now..It misses too many shots... It wont connect Via Bluetooth half the time..It disconnects after 3 or 4 shots.. People near me conned ct to my Labradar and get my shot information. It quit working with my suppressor on.I had to buy an air gun trigger to get it to work with suppressor. It reads wrong with my muzzle brake. But the Bluetooth conectivity is by far the most common issue and it misses shots. There are a number of ways this can be done. The most common and “basic” way is with light. The magic of… LIGHT! Testing the same lot of ammo over and over, I got the same readings within my expected extreme spread. With the LabRadar, you get a string of data per shot, 5 user pre-set distances out to 99 yards. So you get much more information than just the muzzle velocity. Loading for multiple rifle and pistol calibers, the LabRadar allows me to get into the nitty gritty of fine tuning my reloads.

For best performance - make sure your device is up to date with the latest software updates provided by your manufacturer and/or carrier. Go to the appropriate application marketplace for your smartphone/ mobile device and search for "Caldwell Ballistic Precision Chronograph". a few years ago when I asked every person at the gun range if they liked their chrono? and would they buy it again? Or buy something else.. At that time 80% said buy Labradar. It costs more but its better..Well several years later I asked the same question to about as many people as before at the gun range and competitions..The answers have change with alot of rants on Labradar.. It misses Shots..It wont connect via Bluetooth half the time.. It will disconnect after 3 shots. It quit working when using my suppressor..I had to buy the Air Gun Trigger to make it work .The Doppler misses shots.

IF YOU ARE NOT FAMILIAR WITH APPLICABLE RULES FOR YOUR APPLICATION CONSULT THE MANUFACTURER(S) OF THE FIREARM, AIRGUN, PAINTBALL GUN, BOW OR RELOADING EQUIPMENT/COMPONENT... The list goes on. But basically, it’s an advanced user kind of thing. But don’t let that scare you — they’re actually easier to get into than you might think. Best Shooting Chronograph If for some reason parcels are required to be redirected then an additional charge might be levied (where applicable). Also if goods are refused or not called for a charge might also be incurred. This list is not a full and exhaustive list and other reasons may apply. If you want a more sure way of triggering it, you’ll need an external mic. And the only one that works is the one Labradar sells. How convenient. But a few years have passed and Ive been asking the same questions. The answers have changed.RE; Labradar..this is what they say now..Oh Im the maintenance director of at my local gun range with 2,250 members.. and Im there shooting almost every day or 5 of 7 days easily. So I get to see what they use and ask people question..

The Ballistic has a decently sized LCD screen that makes it easy to read. It measures its velocity by MPS (meters per second) or FPS (feet per second). The entry-level or casual tier Magnetrospeed, the Sporter model is perfect for hunters, casual reloaders, or people just starting out. As a set of batteries loses power the red LEDs may still be partially visible even though the IR LEDs are not putting out an optimal level of light. If you notice errors or inconsistent readings, switch to 110 power or replace the batteries. Use a stable platform for the chronograph. A table will also work and so will a dedicated metal stand. A tripod works well to position and align the chronograph Alternatively, http://www.battenfeldtechnologies.com/ provides direct links to the appropriate apps for the different mobile platforms supported by Caldwell.

You'll get the best readings with even lighting. Best case scenario is overcast skies, where the light is already diffused by clouds. The G2’s upside-down design allows shooters to place it either on a tabletop or with a tripod. Whenever I like to do my shooting test sitting down, I use my G2 instead. It is also compatible with a wide variety of weapons.
