There is a rubber cover for the mic port, although it isn’t attached and could very easily be lost. The microphone arm takes a firm press to attach fully and sits snugly in the port. The arm itself articulates very well and always kept the position I set. The lone button on the right ear cup is for turning it on or off, so there’s no worry of accidentally turning off the headset while you adjust volume or mute the mic. After I set everything up and turned it on, it just took a few seconds for the headset to be recognized by either my PC or PS4 (whichever the USB dongle was plugged into). On the PS4 I had to go in to the audio devices settings to change the output to headphones from only chat audio to all audio. When testing it using the "chat only" option for my PS4 I found the HS70 wasn't fully sound isolating, but they covered my ears enough that with game sounds coming from my home theater speakers I missed a good bit of detail, thereby not utilizing the headset to its full potential. You could argue the G Pro X are more aesthetically pleasing with the blue/gold color scheme, however, I feel the design and colors of both headphones are equally professional and attractive. Comfort Logitech G Pro X The G Pro X headband presses hard down on my head and could use more padding. Unlike many gaming headsets coming out today, the HS70 Bluetooth doesn’t boost any virtual surround sound, but the spatial audio here is still solid. Surround sound effects built into games and movies came in accurately from different directions, giving me to enjoy a feeling of audibly being immersed in whichever I was doing at the moment. The HS70 Pro Wireless connects through the included USB Bluetooth adapter to the Sony PS4/PS5 and PC, but will not work on the Xbox One. The connections are made instantly and you are notified by a voice telling you that headphones are on and have connected.

Both headphones perform similarly on console. In fact, they’re nearly identical, resulting in a tie. Overall Winner The G Pro X have a mute button and volume dial on the PC connective cord that also doubles as the console cord. The mobile connective cord has a mute button but no volume dial. Corsair HS70 Pro Wireless

Should you buy the Corsair HS70 Pro Wireless?

The G Pro X is compatible with all devices, while the HS70 is only compatible with PC, Mac, and PlayStation. The HS70 have all their features on the underside of the ear cups. The left ear cup features a volume dial, mute mic button, USB charging port, and removable microphone. The power on/off button is located on the right ear cup. The headband is very durable and shows great resistance when stretched out but is still bendable. The aluminum yolks that connect the headband with the ear cups are also top quality and I’m not worried about breaking them. On top of this, the hinges on the headband are metal which are of a quality that I haven’t found on other pairs of headphones.

Overall, the HS70 Pro Wireless are a better option than the Corsair Void RGB Elite Wireless. The HS70 Pro have better build, comfort, and sound quality. The only area the Void RGB Elite Wireless win is connectivity, which isn’t as important of a factor, as the HS70 Pro work fine if you don’t move too far away. Where to Buy When playing both Battlefront II and Battlefield 1 on my PC, the 7.1 Surround gave great spatial awareness to everything that was happening around me. Enemies creeping through rubble or firing their blasters down the next hallway were easily located and neutralized. The stereo mode was an identical experience to that on the PS4. Sound isn’t quite as expansive as the 7.1 setting, but the ability to place and locate sounds isn’t that diminished.

All the sounds are distinct and I can still hear the footsteps of players nearby, if perhaps less precisely. The HS70 does an excellent job of separating the lows, mids, and highs, and making each sound distinct from the others.

The HS70 Pro Wireless are the second set of Corsair headphones I have reviewed. Previously, I tested the Corsair Void RGB Elite Wireless and was left unimpressed. The build quality on the G Pro X is among the best I’ve seen. Nothing about their construction gives me the impression the headset is cheaply made. Very durable aluminum yolk connects the ear cups to the headband.

The Corsair H70’s multi-platform headset is a steal at just $99

Control simplicity is an important factor when it comes to wireless headphones. The HS70 Pro Wireless controls are easily understood, intuitive to locate, and not overcrowded with options. Comfort Comfortable memory foam ear cups. The design for the HS70 Pro Wireless are a clear-cut winner. They come across as more professional and sleek than the Void RGB Elite Wireless, which have a much more exotic design. This pair of G Pro X are the League of Legends limited edition version and feature a blue and gold color scheme. The headband even has gold stitching. It’s easy to say that this is very appealing and one of the most attractive headset designs I’ve ever seen. Limited edition League of Legends design on the G Pro X that is very sleek with the blue and gold that even goes down to the stitching. Using Bluetooth, I connected the HS70 Bluetooth to my cell phone, and the experience was equally as fantastic in terms of the quality of the sound. If you detached the mic and used these as daily, over-ear headphones, you’d be highly satisfied as it sounds the same wired as it does with a Bluetooth connection.
