I repurchased a new 100 ml bottle in 2023 and the scent is still the same, but more "powdery" and kind of lighter.

There definitely is a difference in projection and performance between the original release and the current one but the original DNA is still there. I would have loved to smell the first versions, cause I know the potential of this and how it's probably a ghost of what it was now. I feel like I have smelled this on 80% of professional in office ladies who want something that doesn’t offend or stand out. So it is very safe to say that reformulations have ruined the performance of this once beastly fragrance.People that know it may have become used to it by now, but when this came out it was nothing short of revolutionary in the designer realm. I don't know if they changed it again but the one I tried at Ulta is 3 hours in and it has great projection. At first warm spicy smell overwhelmed me but then in the evening ( 1 hour later) it started raining and the fragrance started to shine it was really cozy but didn't get a lot compliments. I enjoy it, it lies on the intersection between universally liked and unique enough to be interesting.

It's nice, very smooth and I wouldn't be ashamed to wear this out, but it just doesn't seem to have the character that I prefer. LNDL stands as a benchmark in fragrance creation, forever etching its place as a classic that dared to be different. Overall, whilst the projection and longevity are somewhat lacking, it is, with 10 fragrances in my collection now, still my dayly go-to.The original DNA is quite subtle and the added notes like lavender clary sage vetiver and patchouli give this a familiar but toned down echo of none other than Fahrenhiet le Parfum. The only real criticism I have about it is that it doesn't last a really long time, only about 3 hours. I compared it with Bleu Electrique and I initially preferred the OG, but now that I wore it a lot on last few days, the Bleu Electrique is better cause less sweet, more balanced.

Greetings fragrant peoples ~ before I start my review, please do take note that I’ve personally reversed the note breakdown below as my nose sends a signal to my brain that it’s detecting the reversed notes pyramid of La Nuit De L’homme EDT by YSL. the only good sequel of la nuit is the frozen cologne, because it is the fresher version of the original.I wanted to like it more because of its association with the original La Nuit de L' Homme, but this replaces the powdery backdrop with something that smells like meat preservatives, or seasoning. Like many of the other reviewers, I noticed nearly zero projection and sillage after the first 15 minutes (very warm day). This is a beautiful fresh deep desirable fragrance that draws you in and keeps you on hold , I’m loving it. There's a smidgen of creaminess and a hint of powder as it dries down, but for the most part it's super cloying and obnoxious. A simple reformulation of the original fragrance to bring it back to it's former glory is all that we want!

A Fresh Oriental fragrance, made of tensions and olfactory clashes, for a darkly handsome man who sweeps away everything in their path. I wore this 3-4x a week and reapplied to make up for the days I wasn’t wearing to get an idea how accurate my assumption was above and not joking when I say by the end of the 3rd week 80% was gone.When i wear La Nuit it speaks to me which i don't understand, But i do understand when it speaks to itself. There's some fresh notes such as grapefruit and lavender which cut through the sweet tonka, cardamon and leather base. No this isn't a more potent version of La nuit, It's a completely different fragrance and superior to the OG la nuit, in my opinion.
