Another thing that I want to mention is how surprised I was by some of the plot twists of the story. And when their relationship drags Zorzo into a conspiracy spanning the entire continent, it is far more than his career in danger . Damian Dibben wiedział, jak przyciągnąć naszą uwagę – wspomnienie o Księciu Orientu wywołuje rumieniec i ogień w oczach czytelnika już po kilku zaledwie stronach. The lead character, noted artist Giorgione, (b 1477 Castelfranco, Venice, d 1510) is especially sensitive to colour’s capacity and its ability to create physical and emotional atmospheres. I first heard of this book from a wonderful friend of mine, whom I met on Bookstagram but can now say is a true friend after meeting her in real life.

I understand that he was supposed to be sort of fascinated with her, but it drained the relationship of much passion and made me care less when things went awry, and get more frustrated that he tried to help her. Only the poorest folk, who have no choice but to go to work, are continuing as normal, but they’re wary, treading more carefully than usual.Damian Dibben’s novels have been translated into twenty-seven languages and published in over forty countries. You are never in doubt of Zorzo’s best intentions – he has been written very strongly as a character and for me the most fascinating and absorbing moments are when he is talking to his apprentices abut his work and what he expects them to do.

Enjoyed the writing and the historical setting but the story went on a little too long, the characters fell a little flat, and it got preachy towards the end. I feel the author could have bypassed the failed romance and actually took the book into another direction. The Colour Storm is the story of the Italian painter Giorgio Barbarelli, who lived and worked in Venice during the Renaissance.

Dibben przemyślenie ukazuje, jak sztuka może wpływać na nasze życie, przekształcając je i nadając mu nowe znaczenie. However, it does have to be said by focusing so much on description, it can feel in places that the story is lost and I did find myself having to go back and re-read sections to get a real grip on what was happening.
