Despite being a whole host of eggs we can't have because of either unsafe bars in them or may contains, there are still lots of Easter Eggs that are gluten free and Coeliac safe. See the full list below! H!P’s oat milk-based milk chocolate contains 41% cocoa so is richly flavoured and superbly smooth. The egg itself is generously studded throughout with pieces of pretzel that give it a wonderful crunchy texture. The addition of sea salt accentuates the flavours of the chocolate, enhancing the cocoa flavour beautifully. The cardboard 3D puzzle that comes with the box is simple to put together and a nice little keepsake. There are 6 different rabbit designs to collect (from English Spot to Lion Head), and each puzzle comes with a fact sheet to tell you about that type of bunny, which adds a gently educational element. Romney isn’t particularly big, so this is on the more expensive side for an Easter treat, but for fans of both dark chocolate and marshmallows it’s a must. To begin with I wondered if they were hiding inside the hen, but they’re actually incorporated into the chocolate shell to give a really interesting texture.

Ethical chocolate brand Love Cocoa, which was created by the great-great-great grandson of the original Mr Cadbury, has a real treat for dark chocolate lovers this Easter.

The chocolate itself is very smooth, but once that has dissolved in your mouth you’re left with very tiny flakes of cocoa nib. Not too much, not too little, just enough to set this Easter treat apart from the rest. If you are shopping at Asda this year there are a few gluten free choices in easter eggs you can choice from though most of them are part of the free from range so dairy free too.

A few Lindt easter eggs are gluten free this year. Lindt claim that Lindors which contain barley are below the 20ppm threshold and are safe for Coeliacs, therefore I have included them but I have asterisks(*), use your on judgement on whether you feel safe eating them or not. Only the white chocolate eggs do not contain barley in the Lindor range. If you’d like your Easter egg to come with a clear conscience, Divine is always a good choice as the brand is famously co-owned by the cocao farmers it works with. So the farmers get a share of the profits they help to create, and you get a great tasting egg. Waitrose have some tempting offerings this year. The Heston at Waitrose Chocolate scotch egg isn't gluten free but not to worry we have a recipe for that! You maybe delighted to know that the Kitkat Bunnies easter egg is gluten free and also mini eggs, they also have some other eggs which are gluten free too. The chocolate itself is made using the brand’s stunning Nutmilk chocolate which uses finely milled hazelnuts instead of milk to give it a silky smooth texture.

Love Cocoa has sprinkled flakes of Maldon sea salt throughout which add a delightful crunchy element and really make the chocolate flavour pop. A true celebration of cocoa, this is dark chocolate at its very best.verifyErrors }}{{ message }}{{ /verifyErrors }}{{ Got an insatiable sweet tooth? You’ll love these super sweet vegan white chocolate Easter eggs! 6. Kakoa Iconic Vegan White Chocolate Easter Egg Many have tried to capture the creamy texture and flavour of white chocolate when making a vegan version, but few have succeeded. They’re often overly sweet with an almost waxy texture. Kakoa’s egg, however, has the perfect amount of sweetness and isn’t cloying on the tongue. These are all individually wrapped in foil and have a slightly different flavour to the chocolate in the egg. The chocolate is slightly darker in colour, and the flavour is a little more fruity, with hints of dark cherry, which gives a really nice contrast to the egg itself.

The chocolate egg is made from dark chocolate, which is really rich in cocoa and leaves the comforting taste of sweet cocoa powder in your mouth. It’s the kind of flavour you get with a mug of really good dark hot chocolate.

Can you make this recipe in advance?

In the past, vegan white chocolate has always slightly missed the mark in terms of flavour and can often be too sweet. However, I was pleasantly surprised with MooFree’s lemon white chocolate – the subtle taste of lemon balances the sweetness perfectly without being too tart for younger mouths. The Peanut Butter Jelly Nutmilk and Salted Caramel & Nutmilk truffles were particularly delicious, but in total, you have six delicious flavours to relish. Moo Free is the perfect vegan chocolate brand for kids. Its adorable characters and bite-size vegan bars make it easy for parents to give their children a chocolate treat without dairy. It also gives it a subtle hint of hazelnut flavour that makes the vegan chocolate taste really decadent, a little like a praline.
