In 2012 Ant and Dec performed with Sir Bruce Forsyth at the NTAs (the National Television Awards in the UK). Both Ant and Dec were in awe of Sir Bruce Forsyth and dancing on stage with Sir Bruce Forsyth was one today the many highlights of Ant and Dec’s career in the last 30 years. ANT and Dec have announced they are releasing a new book to celebrate 30 years of working in TV together. Ant previously revealed his friendship with Dec started in 1990, when he sent him a Christmas card and invited him to a football match. It didn't disappoint. It was so fun I stayed on my bed the whole day to focus on listening/reading. I could've finished it earlier but I have to stop a lot of times and watch the clips they're talking about, and sometimes, I have to watch it like 2-3 times because it's that good.

Listening to Once Upon A Tyne makes you feel the lads are really just chatting to you and you only, telling you about their life and times of grown up together in the entertainment industry, I think mainly because they are not just read their book they actually speak off the cuff, elaborating on the story they are telling at the time, with Ant’s comedy timing and Dec’s hearty laugh, this audiobook brought me laugh out loud moments and tears to my eyes with heart felt emotional words between them both. Dec: but no less true. And after three decades together, we've written that book. Covering everything from a pirate radio storyline in Byker Grove through to the biggest shows on telly, this is our story. In the first Pop Idol series, Will Young won and Gareth Gates was second. In the second, and final, series Michelle McManus won. Not only are these two funny on the telly but they are funny together. You can relate to those best mate laughs and giggles. It was a great day when they met because they didn’t know it then but they made a lifelong career decision that day. Ant and Dec hold a special place in the hearts of TV viewers everywhere. This is their epic story, with never-before-seen photography and the very best tales from their 30 years in TV.

Check out Ant and Dec's complete career timeline:

Registered office: Media House, Peterborough Business Park, Lynch Wood, Peterborough PE2 6EA and H Bauer Publishing, Company number: LP003328; From their modest beginnings in Byker Grove through to their 'unique' time as pop stars and an award-laden TV career, those three decades have flown by in the blink of an eye. They've also featured an incredible cast of supporting characters, including their first scriptwriter - (an unknown comedian called David Walliams), Saturday night fun and games with countless Hollywood A-listers and celebrities they torture - sorry, work with - every year in the jungle. Told through the lens of every TV show they've made, as well as everything they've learnt along the way, this is the riotously funny journey of two ordinary lads from Newcastle who went on to achieve extraordinary things. For the first time in many years, all we talked about were deep things like how we felt, and what the future held, and where we were, and all the chaos that has come along, especially for me," McPartlin told the magazine. And as another Chinese proverb says, 'If you've been in a double act with your best mate for thirty years, why not write a book about all your most memorable moments in three decades of showbusiness?'

This book is about the shows that they have worked on SMTV, pop idol, BGT, I’m a celeb and their pop career.Ant said: “Every child deserves a happy childhood – and the NSPCC rely on fundraising to ensure they can continue to be here for children and families. All of Ant and Dec’s author proceeds from the book will be donated to the NSPCC to support their lifechanging work protecting children. Dec: and as another Chinese proverb says, 'If you've been in a double act with your best mate for 30 years, why not write a book about all your most memorable moments in three decades of showbusiness?'

But it hasn't all been smooth sailing over the last 30 years and Dec admitted he wanted to "punch and hug" Ant when he heard he had been arrested for drink-driving in 2018. Ant and Dec came together to create a new show about their ancestors and to find out where they both came from. The programme was made over two years and Ant and Dec journeyed to places such as Ireland and United States of America. The most amazing part of their DNA journey was that they actually found out that they were in fact distant relations of each other! This audiobook is just brilliant, the PDF photo book to accompany the storytelling is a wonderful touch and the nice surprising at the end of them reading this superbly written book is what really made me laugh. Ant and Dec are two lads from Newcastle, UK. They became friends while starring on a children’s TV evening programme called ‘Byker Grove’, and came to hold many ‘hats’, including as popstars and TV presenters of some of the most popular UK programmes. At first, Ant and Dec didn’t have many scenes together, so they didn’t get to know each other. However, that changed later in the year of 1990. They found they got more scenes together and found they had things in common, like Newcastle football club, and hanging out at shopping centres and attending gigs. Oh wow.. I never thought I'll be giving a 5-star rating to a memoir. Don't get me wrong, I like reading autobiographies of interesting people but most of the time, it was always an exaggeration of the things that happened in their lives, not to mention, it was always written by someone else. In this chapter Ant and Dec talk about meeting various members of the British Royal Family at various moments in their career, and particularly HRH Prince Charles. Ant and Dec first met HRH Prince Charles in 2001, where they interviewed him about the 25th anniversary of ‘The Prince’s Trust’. Other memorable times Ant and Dec have met members of the British Royal Family are in 2006, 2015 (for The Queen’s 90th birthday celebrations), and in 2017 (when Ant and Dec received their OBEs).

Bauer Media Group consists of : Bauer Consumer Media Ltd, Company number 01176085; Bauer Radio Limited, Company number: 1394141 My personal favourite was the PJ and Duncan section.... as I was a huge fan growing up! Also loved the photos that were included, some made me laugh out loud. Then he got angry. “How could he do that? I wanted to punch him and hug him at the same time – and I didn’t know which one I wanted to do first.”

I knew I was going to love this because I've previously read Ooh! What a Lovely Pair: Our Story and was amazed by their relationship and in awe of their dedication and commitment to producing great telly and each other.
